Sovereign knowledge infrastructure
A research engine for people who take knowledge seriously. SoTFN assembles durable, fully-sourced archives on any subject — every record reviewed by you, every claim cited, every file plain text on your own disk.

The institutions that once curated shared knowledge are consolidating, paywalling, and quietly rewriting. SoTFN is infrastructure for the alternative: rigorous, independent archives that belong to the researcher, not the platform.
One workspace might document quantum information theory; another, watershed ecology; another, the history of cryptography. The engine is topic-agnostic. The standard of evidence is yours — but provenance, sources, and open questions are always on the page.
We are building toward a culture of distributed, durable, freely held knowledge — worldly, printable, and independent of any single platform or gatekeeper.
One discipline of evidence, three kinds of practitioner.
Assemble a reference library no employer or subscription can revoke. Citations, evidence tiers, and open questions on every record — your scholarship, kept under your own roof.
A sourced, fact-checked backbone for essays, video, and reporting. Each entry ships with verifiable provenance, so your audience can follow the trail you followed.
Stand up a shared archive on plain Markdown under version control. Distributed by design, auditable end to end, and resilient to the loss of any one host.
Three steps. Full editorial control. You only keep what you approve.
Choose a topic from your backlog. The engine researches it, sources real archival imagery, verifies every link, and returns a complete dossier — narrative, anomaly, provenance, and open questions.
Every dossier ends with a decision that is yours alone. Approve, and it joins your permanent archive. Decline, and it leaves no trace. Nothing is published, billed, or accumulated without your sign-off.
Approved records live as plain Markdown under version control — the single source of truth. Rebuild indices, render dossier PDFs, or publish a browsable site. Your encyclopedia, your standard, on your disk.
No proprietary database, no lock-in. Records are Markdown with structured frontmatter — readable in a century, recoverable with one command, diffable like code.
Every record carries verified source URLs, an evidence tier, and its open questions. Where the literature is incomplete, the record says so — curiosity without fabrication.
Each approved record renders as a single-page dossier PDF — suitable for citation, binding, and keeping offline beside your paper library.
Git history and content hashes make the archive auditable end to end. Clone it, fork it, mirror it — independent of any cloud, account, or single point of failure.
Every collection is its own workspace. The first is public.
Inaugural collection
The inverted archive — anomalous, suppressed, and contested history, held to the same standard of evidence.
Clone it, fork it, run it locally. Stand up a workspace for any subject — the research pipeline, validation gates, and PDF renderer are all in the repository, under an open license.
